First SCALE CONTEST OF 2023
COME SEE and FLY
The 505 Aerobatics RC Club Scale Meet. This was the first scale event for New Mexico’s newest club. There were about 20 or more pilots. The planes were judged both static and flight.
The weekend could not be any better. Harry Antenucci was the CD and did a real good job. Joey, Vince and Jimmy did a lot to get the show going. Marlin Smith along with Vince did almost all the flight judging.
I think everybody had a great time. I know next year will be better. The club learned a lot about running an event. Now that they have one under their belt, look out. It’s going to be great.

First TEXAS SCALE CONTEST OF THE YEAR
Come WATCH some of the BEST SCALE planes in TEXAS
Aeromodelers of Acadiana (AOA) hosted a great event March 19 & 20 at their beautiful field in Breaux Bridge, LA. Many pilots showed up a day early and hung around Sunday after the scheduled event. Texas Warbirds were well represented, as well as, Back of the Bend, SHARKS, and many others. The flying and Saturday night feast welcomed 49 registered pilots. Even the children’s play area and sand pile were well attended. Several beautiful giant scale turbines wowed the many pilots and guests too. After a year of COVID restrictions AOA launched 2021 in grand fashion. Pictured are Jimmy White and Tim Ott of Texas Warbirds.
