The Prop Nuts R.C. Club held their Flea Market Fly In on April 15, 2023 at their field near Crosby, Texas. It was a beautiful day with lots of planes and pilots, plenty of flea market merchandise, many enthusiastic spectators, fine food, and a beautiful grass field. In the group photo, you’ll notice many of the participants with their planes, and the officers kneeling in front.

Had a great public turnout for our 1st National Model Aviation Day Open House on 13 August. We had support from our neighbors at the El Paso Radio Controllers club as well as a pilot from as far away as Albuquerque! We supported well over 100 spectators and buddy boxed about 20 kids on the club AeroScout Trainers! And the Horizon Hobby AeroScout RTF kit for raffle was won by a first time attendee and pilot on buddy box! This kid is smiling ear to ear and built the kit within the hour after he received it! He joining the club and already securing a sim for our online sim training sessions! A great day for the club and the hobby. Ready to do this again for sure!

It was a great day at the War Birds over Texas City Fly In and Swap Meet hosted by the Texas City RC Club.  President Vince Hoechten was the CD also, and he ran a great show.  The club has very nice facilities including a beautiful grass runway, air conditioned club house with a kitchen, and permanent restrooms.  There were many fine war birds entered with about 20 registered pilots, and they provided wonderful entertainment.  There were also many prizes in the drawings and raffle.  Congratulations to the Texas City RC Club for providing another great event.
