They had over 30 + plus people that try R/C for the first time and some that are still learning. The club had in hand over 9 trainers and four station for flying, at noon they had a Demo of different type of airplane. The event was great success and the club board and members did an outstanding job. Congratulation on a great event and hope to do it again next year.
Attached photo is the new North Dallas RC Club ‘Crash Cart’. The vehicle also serves as a fire response vehicle in case of Turbine/Lipo fires. The vehicle, and the storage container for it, was purchased with membership donations. Two training sessions have already been conducted for club members so that it may be operated in a safe manner.
This is a scale master model that has not flown yet.. She has been to the flight line 3 times but not able to get correct steering. I believe the issue has been corrected. With good thoughts and lots of help she will fly on this Thursday. Till then Keep Flying.

Aeromodelers of Acadiana (AOA) hosted a surprise congratulatory party for Jase Dussia after his impressive win at the FRENCH EXTREME FLIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP 2022. It was a rainy day but that didn’t dampen the spirits of his friends and supporters at AOA. It’s truly amazing to watch him fly and he even braved the rain to show off his skills. Jase recently south to abandon the winters of Michigan and enjoy more fling time in Louisiana.
I attended the National Model Aviation Day at Kingsbury. Ed Valls and company did a great job and the Pioneer Flight Musuem is a great attraction. I added a picture of a young man who won a smart charger in the drawing. They told his Dad that he had to buy him an airplane now.
Had a great public turnout for our 1st National Model Aviation Day Open House on 13 August. We had support from our neighbors at the El Paso Radio Controllers club as well as a pilot from as far away as Albuquerque! We supported well over 100 spectators and buddy boxed about 20 kids on the club AeroScout Trainers! And the Horizon Hobby AeroScout RTF kit for raffle was won by a first time attendee and pilot on buddy box! This kid is smiling ear to ear and built the kit within the hour after he received it! He joining the club and already securing a sim for our online sim training sessions! A great day for the club and the hobby. Ready to do this again for sure!
It was a great day at the War Birds over Texas City Fly In and Swap Meet hosted by the Texas City RC Club. President Vince Hoechten was the CD also, and he ran a great show. The club has very nice facilities including a beautiful grass runway, air conditioned club house with a kitchen, and permanent restrooms. There were many fine war birds entered with about 20 registered pilots, and they provided wonderful entertainment. There were also many prizes in the drawings and raffle. Congratulations to the Texas City RC Club for providing another great event.

Aeromodelers of Acadiana Warbird Airshow – March 24-27, 2022
AOA opened the Southern Louisiana flying season with its 6th. annual Warbird event. Forty-one pilots showed up and registered from places as far away as Virginia. Once again, this year the Texas Warbird group showed up and flew from Thursday through Sunday. Great food, the beautiful AOA flying site, southern hospitality, and hardy cross winds on Friday challenged and rewarded the pilots. From the giant scale Tri-wing to the eighty-pound Hellcat, there was something for everyone to admire and enjoy. AOA’s camp sites are coveted and many pilots reserved their spot for next year before departing Breaux Bridge, Louisiana for home. Pictured is Albert Thibodeaux, from Cajun Black Sheep RC, a perennial guest at AOA events.
Watch the AOA Facebook page for 7th. Annual event next year. It keeps getting bigger!

To all Rc fliers in the DFW area, if you recall the July issue of Model Aviaton magazine, the cover photo and featured article was about Reginald Denney, known as the “Prince of Drones”.
What wasn’t in the article, was that a museum in Caddo Mills has his stuff on display.
Richardson Radio Control Club is partnering with the Aviation Unmanned Vehicle Museum in hosting the 1st Reginald Denney Day Fun Fly and Museum Grand Opening.
So come on out on November 20th. Bring your planes to fly, and tour the museum to learn about some cool aviation history.

It was a special event with beautiful weather, a great flying field, and good participation. And, it was made all the better by those tasty hot dogs and sausages. Thanks to President Allan Smith for coordinating the entire event and for making it so enjoyable. He can be seen kneeling in the photo with a group of those participating and their planes.
Congratulations to Allan and the entire club for hosting such a successful event.
